What are some of the best market channels to sell my home?

I am a "for sale by owner" in the City of Detroit in the State of Michigan. More than the sign placed in front of the house, and more than using the newspaper to advertise, what market channels are available to use? Can I use the MLS? Does it make sense to use the internet like Yahoo Real Estate? How can I find out what the market uses to find homes including those in the City of Detroit?

you can get on the Internet and go to a web site

you have 2 choices 1 is to just put any name of a real estate company in the address bar then put .com after the name 2 www.realestate.com

You can purchase a la carte services from a real estate office.  Maybe listing your house on MLS is one of those services you can buy.
