  1. El Rastro is very good (but crowded). The bullring Las Ventas is also very good to visit. You don't have to see a fight (though I recommend you do... I hate animal cruelty and it was not as bad as I thought it would be). The plazas like Plaza Espana is nice with it's giant monument to Don Quixote... also Plaza Mayor is a must as is the Puerta del Sol. The best places for traditional Spanish food like paella are also near Plaza Mayor. For shopping, the Gran Via and Calle Alcala are the best. Of course there's the Museo del Prado.

    El rasto market, Teatro real, or Golden Triangle you will love it there.
