What are some of the best restaurants in London?

I love Italian and Thai food, so if you know of any Italian or Thai restaurants that would be great!

Its many years since I lived in London so these places may not be operating anymore, they were very good, so they probably still are in business.

and for Thai you may like to try Jim Thompsons at the Worlds End end of the Kings Road.
