What are some of the best universities in the Dominican Republic ?

It all depends on the major your interested in, however here is a few that are worth mentioning:

UASD – Public University, this means is the cheapest therefore is more populated however this is one the best almost in all its majors. Excellent on Medicine, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration.

UNPHU – Private University, some what affordable and recognized in all Europe and the United States if you want to validate your diploma. Very good on Architecture, Medicine, Interior Designs, Engineering and Law school.

INTEC – Recently change from a technological institute to an University for its immense growth. This one is excellent if you are looking to finish a carrier in less time because its program doesn’t give you much vacations, it’s on going all year long. Is somewhat expensive but the quality of professionalism is worth it. Excellence in Literature, all types of Engineering, and Medicine.

PUCMM – This is a private, well establish university. They are good on Public Relations, Marketing, Literature and Architecture

Other to consider are Universidad del Caribe, APEC and UNIBE

Univ of Santo Domingo is the best because it is the most recognized of all of them since it was the first Univ in the New World.

Takes longer but who cares, it is better!  They have Campuses all over including Nagua and Puerto Plata.

Some of the best universities in the Dominican Republic are:

*Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM):

Located in Santiago, DR. Its a private institution and a little costly, but is a prestigious university and has partnerships with universities in  the US and Europe. And many students come as foreign exchange students or study abroad. It has campuses located in Puerto Plata and Santo Domingo as well. Great school for Medicine, Dentistry, enineering, architecture. I personally attend this university and study Medicine.

*Universidad Central Del Este (UCE):

Located in San Pedro de Macoris, DR. They offer classes both is spanish and English for Medicine. Also recognized in the US.

* Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo (UASD)

Located in Santo Domingo and an additional campus in Santiago. The first University in America. Its a public institution. Many influential people from the DR graduated from here.

* Universidad Tecnologica de Santiago (UTESA):

Located in Santiago with an additional campus in Santo Domingo. Less costly than the private universities. Great school Medicine.

other great universities are Universidad Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU), Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo (INTEC).
