Mine would be going to bally's. But luckily i'm going to be moving soon, (if you move more then 24 miles away you're eligable to get out of a 3 year contract worth dam near $3,000.00 ($2,935 to be exact)) but i still have to pay a $50.00 cancelation fee. Then when i told the guy he acted like he was surprised that i had to pay the fee then said "it ain't that bad".

And he never mentioned that ever while I was there. Basically you pay them to rip you off. And they have the nevers to advertise "5 training sessions for just $199.00!"

I wouldn't give them your real social security number either. . .mine was fake. . .something told me to give them a fake one (he he he).

I seriously wouldn't recommend anyone to sign up for that.

  1. I did the gym thing too, but just switched my bank account when I moved.  The worst scam I ever fell for was the New York City fake ID scam.  Me and my buddy were sixteen and took the bus in.  At the time the area around Port Authority was pretty rough.  It didn't take us long to find a guy hanging around offering fake IDs.  Long story short, the guy had a few accomplices and ended up seperating my friend and I and our money.  He walked me down to the subway and told me to go with another guy who eventually ended up disappearing.  I got burned for $20, but lesson learned.

  2. I have had a couple of near calls.  I filled out the paper work for an interest only loan but never signed the application.  I didn't agree with the terms of the loan.  I was told that I could borrow as much as I wanted to and pay interest for the first 5yrs.  I then asked then what happens after 5yrs.  I didn't like the fact that the payments would jump and I might not be able to afford the payments.  This was 3yrs ago before all of this housing mess.

A couple of days ago I got a call from a telemarketer telling me that she could lower my interest rate on my credit card.  I went through the entire call beleiving that the cost was 6.95.  When I got to the verifier I found out that it was $695.

A person really needs to ask qustions before signing any contract or agreeing to anything.  If the offer sounds to good to be true make sure to do your homework first.
