What are some of the costs related to having a GSP in your car?

I live in Melbourne Australia.

I'm just wondering what are some of the costs involved in having a normal GSP system in your car(apart from the cost of buying the thing of course)?

Is there like a monthly subscription fee invloved?

what are the thing I should know about before buying one?

The GPS comes with maps already installed. You only need to pay if you want to update the maps.

When you buy a GPS, it should already have the Australian map program on it. You don't need to pay a monthly subscription fee. The program is yours to use.

If you wish to one day update or change the program, then you will need to make a purchase. Although I've been using the same GPS with inbuilt program for years now without updating anything.

So all in all, just make sure you find yourself a good quality GPS with warranty and great features (e.g. touchscreen etc). Enjoy using your GPS and never get lost again!
