What are some of the (important) Life lessons you've learnt throughout your life?

Some of mine are:

- Friends (or at least the vast majority of them) will disappear in time no matter what they say.

- There's really just one true happiness in Life and it's to love and be loved.

- Don't get too close/serious with most people/friends because they'll end up disappointing a lot of times and some days will be jolly and some days won't.

- No matter how hurt/in pain you are/whatever the tragedy, the World does/can not stop.

- Time heals all wounds.

That's about all I can think of for now. What are your lessons learnt? Interested to know.

  1. In hindsight, things that seem terrible at the time, result in one of two things

    * laughable stuff to tell your kidz oneday

    * lessens you needed to learn.

  2. live in the present not your past

  3. Forgiveness of myself and others.

To keep my distance when one comes too close.

[ as in putting up my guard,]

    To respect,listen and understand others.

Never to judge anyone, there is usually a reason why

people are like they are. [ Paedophiles, etc, excluded]

To take each Day as it comes, and be Thankful I am

    still here to Enjoy it.

    Last but not least,

To treat others as they treat me. I Will not be walked over.

  4. Always challenge yourself, never settle. You will never realize your true potential if you are never challenged.

Believe in yourself, because motivation and inspiration from others means nothing if you don't motivate and inspire yourself.

Always do what you know is right instead of what you feel is right. Knowing is permanent, feeling is temporary.

  5. Not to take topics on Yahoo Answers too seriously

  6. I have learnt similar things to you so far.

    I have also learnt :

    - Friends will only be close to you for a limited amount of time. As you meet new people and make more friends, friends you have been close to in the past will be doing the same; pulling you apart. The best thing to do its to just go with it and try and stay friends.

    - Theres no point complaining just get on with it. Dont slow yourself down.

    - People you think you can trust might not be trustworthy. Be careful what you tell people.

If I think of more I will edit

  7. create  your own world  or else!!

  8. If the end was the point, Then all music would suck.

  9. The most important lesson I have learned; is giving my life up to the Lord!  Nothing else is more important than this.  God will give you all the necessary tools to sustain and maintain the delicate balance of life.  He will bring people into your life ,to ensure all that is positive and good.  You will find love, hope and fulfillment, through faith in Him.

You will be happy and live in peace, regardless.

It took forty years to learn this.  I have lived 20 more in peace and harmony.  I have so much to be thankful for.  :D

  10. That I can either be humble or be humiliated.

That no matter what, never judge someone. Some of the most awful people I have met have been through some of the most sickening experiences. Can I say I would be any different if I were to go through the same?

That to truly be someone's friend I must be prepared to call them on some things. They might hate me for it, but if I really care I will be looking out for them - and sometimes we are our own worst enemies.

That time does NOT heal all wounds. There are some wounds I will go to the grave with, despite my best efforts.

    That I'm okay.

  11. These quotes are my life lessons.

"The future depends on what we do in the present." -

    Mahatma Gandhi.

"If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it." -

    William Arthur Ward.

"The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible." -

    Arthur C. Clarke.

"Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must first be overcome." - Samuel Johnson.

"Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall." -

    Confucius.

"Reality is nothing like fairy tale" -

    Me.

  12. life is unfair, but not always

true friends and family we love hurt us so much ome times that its difficult to get healed of those wounds for years

there are people who love us and do care for us,and often we fail to recognise their love

life has its sorrows and also joys

there is nothing achieved by worrying over the past

  13. hard work, hard work and nothing could possibly be accomplished without hard work.

  14. Never trust that person that family member that says we want to help you.

    Time sears all wounds.

    Good guys finish dead last.

It never really pays to try to help anyone, but do it anyway. Someone will always know you tried. You.

Smile and nod a lot as though you actually believe the BS people who say they care for you, spout when you go to see them.

Eat when hungry, sleep when tired.
