  7. snails, frogs legs

  9. actually, its mostly bread, very strong cheeses, and it depends where you go but they usually have a lot of yoghurt. also  a lot of white meat e.g. turkey, duck, chicken and not so much beef and lamb. i just got back from an exchange over there, very traditional family.

  10. My husband loved these whle he was in France...many locals stop by the street vendors who make them a "smashed sandwich"...This consists of french baguette bread, fillings of your choice (even hamburger patties can amd are used), and then it is "smashed" and grilled in a panini type grill.

Bread cheese and wine is also very popular for a quick meal

  11. I am french and I would say that  there are so many local foods in france  (like in India, though India is a much bigger country) , because french people are so much attached to food, cooking, baking, pastry and good wine, cider and  beer

but yes mainly cheese, bread, cakes, bakery, confectionary and so many dishes with fish, meat and poultry, vegetables

As for snails and frogs dishes, they are typically mentionned by english people who call french people "frog eaters"

They are generally shocked by the idea of it, same as we are shocked by the fact that chinese people eat dogs, and many indian people because most of western countries eat cows

but this type of food is absolutely not so common as they imagine it

No french people would think to mention firstly these foods, they would even probably forget to mention them !

I think that eg (bread, noodles...) means  : for example bread, noodles

from the latine "exempli gratia" eg ou e.g.

  12. french fries, french dressing, french bread,
