What are some of the main differences between today's and the previous generation of men?

Many of today's men lack manners, humility and outright sense. The world has changed for everyone though, incompetence is no longer the barrier to success it once was, so you find mediocre people in positions of power and influence and this tends to make people believe themselves great.

Men don't like to be trumped at the best of times and the changed relationship with women seems to have made a lot of men think that the concept 'man' is under attack.

In today's society, men are slowly losing their birth right to beat and discipline their women.  They have to do so in less obvious ways.

This generation can't figure out how to put a table or bookcase from Ikea together.  Its too complicated (and they insist the instructions are incorrect).

Again, which generation?  Men are more educated then they were in previous generations.  More men have higher education as well too, including MBA's.  They also don't feel the responsibility to step up and be a father being in a child's life daily. Many think once every two weeks is ok.

Men today are more feminine and superficial. They are also more lazy and unmotivated.

This is not to say that today's generation of men are completely girly and unambitious. I'm just saying that compared to PAST generations... they are very girly and unambitious.

The previous generation had more oppurtunities, respect from there country and society. So they where willing to do more for this country.

       Now the current generation has almost no oppurtunities, routinely insulted and discriminated against in the workplace,school and from our own goverment.

      The current generation of men by and large don't care.

If the ^%$& hits the fan it is safe to say a draft would be un enforceable, and we would laugh as invading army's pillaged.

Might seem over dramitic but the basic point is we dont care anymore. We are just angry and annoyed with the current society and unwilling to defend a society that hates and discriminates against us.

More fashion-conscious? The models today look like pretty boys, whereas male models of the yesteryears look rugged and badass lol.

Without generalizing, I'd like to use the word "some".

Some of today's men are not handymen like they used to be.  Don't know much about working on cars or fixing the home.  Some of them dress quite effeminate, and lack aggressive power.  Some of them have lost the sense of respect for anyone of any gender.  

But again, I don't think ALL of today's men are like this.  But some are.
