  1. sunnis follow abu bakr and umar who disobeyed muhammed(saww)

    shia follow muhammed(saww)

  2. whole religion difference!!

    shias believe in their 12 manmade Imams and their Imams more superior than all prophet's and angels !

    shia believe that the prophet didn't finish his msg and their Imams will finish it after him

    shia worship their imam but not directly

    i mean in thier salat they mention their imams and their ziker they mention their imams and in their dially life they metion their imams

    and they whole hadiths about their imams !

    even here in ramadan section you can find their names about their imams you can see the Ya Ali Madad part !!

    they made shirk they call Ali for help instead of Allah !

    they hate Islam and have many anti-Islamic beliefs

    i'm not talking about their bida'ah and shirk stuff like worshiping graves and etc

    no they insult the wives and friends of the prophet ion every salat and always !

    their salat is not like us

    their wudu is not like us even their shahada is not like us

    they added ali to thier athan shahda etc

    and many many difference

    in total it's like two different religions

    Muslims(sunni) follow Quran+Sunnah (the prophet saying(hadiths) and his way of ibadat and life )!

    here is a site by fellow Muslim (sunni) exposing shia beliefs from their books you may check it

  3. according to Glorious Quran NO DIFFERENCE both follow vain hadith

    "There are those who advocate vain 'Hadith' causing diversion from the path of God, without knowledge, and fail to take such actions seriously; these have deserved humiliating retribution. And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly, as if he never heard them; as if his ears are deaf; promise him painful retribution." (31:67)

  4. In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Beneficent. All praise is due to Allah, and may the Salaat and Salaam be upon the final messenger, sent as a mercy to mankind, along with his family, companions and all those who follow him.

    Since the Shia are made up of numerous different sects, each sect having a set of beliefs that may differ from another in fundamental principles, it would be near impossible to provide a brief response to this question. It would require a detailed response outlining each sect's creed and comparing each sect with the true followers of Islaam, the Sunnis / Salafis / Ahlus Sunnah.

    However, we hope that these general responses by some of the major scholars of our time would shed some light on the issue and more information will be added concerning this issue on this thread insha-Allaah:

    Shaykh 'Abdul 'Azeez ibn Baaz, one of the highest ranking religious figures in Islaam in this era comments on the Shia:

    "I would like to inform you that the Shia consist of many different sects, each sect being involved in different types of innovations. The most severe are the Rafidah, the Khumainiyah and the Ithna-'Ashariyah sects, due to the great number of callers that promote them and because they engage in major polytheism such as invoking Ahlul Bayt, as well as believing that people have knowledge of the unseen [such as future events etc], specifically the 'twelve Imams' as they claim. They also declare the majority of the companions of the Prophet [may the Salaat and Salaam be upon him], to be disbelievers and insult them, such as Abu Bakr and 'Umar may Allah be pleased with them both. We ask Allah to protect us from the falsehood they are upon.

    This does not prevent us from calling them to the religion of Allah, directing them to the correct path and warning them from the falsehood they are involved in according to the Book and the Sunnah."

    The Committee of Major Scholars of Saudi Arabia, the most highly respected institution in Islam, had this to say regarding them:

    "There are many differences between the Shia and Ahlus Sunnah relating to monotheism, Prophet-hood, leadership and other issues. A lot of Scholars have written regarding them such as Shaykhul Islaam ibn Taymiyah in his book 'Minhaaj-us Sunnah', Sihristani in 'Al Milal wan Nihal', Ibn Hazm in 'Al Fasl' and others so please refer to these books.

    Allah is the granter of success and may peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad."

    They stated elsewhere:

    "The Shia consist of many different groups. Whoever amongst them claims that 'Alee attained the status of Prophet-hood, and that the angel Gabriel erred because he revealed the message to our Prophet Muhammad instead is a disbeliever.

    Allah is the granter of success and may peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad."

    So some sects of the Shia are outside the fold of Islam, they have beliefs that are in total contradiction to the Islaamic creed, they are not considered to be Muslims at all. Others have beliefs that may not take them out of the fold of Islam, but they are non the less considered to be innovators, engaging in practices that have nothing to do with the religion of Islam. And no the actions of Shia militants are not reflective of Islamic values, nor are the actions of any other militant sect for that matter.

    Who are the Rafidah (the origin of the Shia)?

    The first person to found this sect is ‘Abdullah son of Saba al Yahodi, a Yemeni Jew. He outwardly proclaimed to be Muslim and traveled to Madeenah during the rule of the rightly guided Khalifah Uthmaan ibn ‘Afaan, may Allah be pleased with him.

    The were named ‘Rafidah” (literally meaning ‘The Rejecters’) because they rejected Zayd ibn ‘Alee after requesting him to free himself from Abu Bakr and Umar, the first and second rulers in Islam after the death of the final Messenger, may Salaat and Salaam be upon him. Upon hearing their request, he asked Allaah to have mercy on the two deceased leaders.

    They said: ‘Therefore we will reject you.”

    He responded: ‘Leave, for you are ‘Ar Rafidah’ – ‘the rejectors’.

    Al Dhahabee, a renowned scholar and historian of the 8th Islamic century (14th Gregorian century) stated:

    The Rafidah approached Zayd and said: ‘Free yourself of Abu Bakr and ‘Umar and we shall support you.’

    He replied: ‘Rather I shall support them.’

    They said: ‘Therefore we reject you!’

    They were then known as the Rafidah.

    Shaykh al Islam ibn Taymiyah mentions in Majmoo’ al Fatawa:

    Imam Ahmad was asked: ‘Who are the Rafidah?’

    He said: ‘Those who vilify Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, they rejected Zayd ibn ‘Alee due to their hatred of the two when he showed support for them, so whoever shows hatred of Abu Bakr and ‘Umar is from the Rafidah. It is also said that they were named ‘Rafidah’ due to their rejection of Abu Bakr and ‘Umar.’

    Shaykh al Islam said: ‘The origin of the Rafidah are hypocrites, it was ‘Abdullah ibn Saba the hypocrite who innovated this sect, he then practiced extremism towards ‘Alee ibn Abee Taalib by stating that he was the only rightful leader of the Muslims among other things.’

    Shaykh al Islam mentioned elsewhere: The founder of the Rafidah is none other than ‘Abullah ibn Saba the hypocrite, he outwardly proclaimed to be Muslim while concealing his Jewish faith, his intention was to corrupt the religion of Islam just as Bolis the Christian did with Christianity, he was in reality a Jew who embraced Christianity with the intention of corrupting it.

    Ibn Abee al ‘Izz states in his explanation of ‘Al ‘Aqeedah at Tahawiyah”:

    The founder of the Rafidah is a hypocrite who embraced Islam with the intention of destroying it and accusing the final Messenger of Allah, may Salaat and Salaam be upon him. ‘Abdullah ibn Saba was a Jew who only proclaimed to be Muslim in order to corrupt the religion of Islam with his vile evil plots, just as Bolis did with Christianity. He outwardly practiced Islam, started ordering people with good and forbidding them from evil and eventually plotted the murder of ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Afaan and the turmoil that was caused due to it. He then traveled to Kufah and practiced extremism towards ‘Alee ibn Abi Talib and showed support for him in order to further his personal agenda. When ‘Alee was informed of this he ordered his execution, but he managed to escape to Qarqays, his biography is well known in Islamic history.

  5. SUNNIS ARE FOLLOWERS OF IBLEES

    SHIATS ARE FOLLOWERS OF 12 RIGHTFUL IMAMS(AS)

  6. What do you expect from a religion that is based in violence and murder,just for starters,muhammad founded his religion killing and beheading.he married a 6 years old girl,ayesha,daughter of abu bakr,had s*x with her when she was 9,a slave trader,womanizer,23 wives,among them his son's wife,oh what a mess.

  7. Suunis worship AbuBaker and Umer

    Shia worship Allah.

    Sunnis follow Sunnah of AbuBaker and Umer

    Shias follow Sunnah of Rasoolallah (saww)

    Sunnis are like catholic Christians. Christians believe in Trinity but can not explain it.

    Sunnis believe in four Sunnis Fiqahs but can not explain them as Sratulmustaqeem because Sratulmustaqeem is always one not four.

    ISLAM IS SRATULMUSTAQEEM.

    Shias follow Quran while Sunnis follow false fabricated Hadiths to glorify their gods AbuBaker and Umer.

    Sunnis Sahih Hadiths contradict Quran but sunnis follow them blindly.

  8. abu bakra is sunni god, if i m right...lol

  9. Hey, i'll add on to "not afraid 2 stand alone's" list.

    5. Shiia's pray on a peice of rock

    6. Shiia's don't follow the quran

    7. Shiia's beat themselves with their hands, chains and sometimes swords.

    8. Shiia's pray with their hand on their side. [Not the sunnah of the Prophet!]

  10. Shia Islam is the original Islam. Research it using sites like http://www.al-islam.org . Don't listen to the people above for most of them are lying and saying the most ridiculous things.

  11. `The most visible differences between Sunni and Shia Islam will be differences in fiqh. Shia Muslims permit the mut`ah, while Sunni Islam maintains that is is haram. Shia Muslims do not say "amin" after reciting Surah Fatihah in the salat, while Shia Muslims do. Shia Muslims commemmorate the matyrdom of Prophet Muhammad's grandson Hussayn, while Sunni Muslims do not.

    In terms of belief, Shia Islam holds that Imamat is the proper method of the succession of leadership after the death of Prophet Muhammad. Sunni Muslims maintain that the Caliphate is the correct method of succession, but they do not list it in their fundamental beliefs. It is mentioned briefly in the `Aqidah at-Tahawiyyah. Shia Muslims also list the Justice of Allah in the fundamental beliefs. Sunni Muslims discuss it in works of `aqidah, but not as a fundamental belief.

    Shia Islam accepts ahadith from different narrators than does Sunni Islam, and this is the most basic source of the differences between us in our beliefs and practises. It also results in differences in our methodology and our perceptions of Islamic history.

  12. Shia beliefs :

    1.Shias worship Ali

    2.Shias have legalized prostituion (Mutah)

    3.Shias curse the companions of prophet Muhammad and his wives.

    4.Shias believe the Quran is incomplete and the real quran is with their 12th imam who is hiding in a cave.(lmaooo)

    Sunni beliefs :

    Pretty Simple, we believe in One God, and his messenger Muhammad (pbuh)

  13. Both Sunni and Shia Muslims share the most fundamental Islamic beliefs and articles of faith. The differences between these two main sub-groups within Islam initially stemmed not from spiritual differences, but political ones. Over the centuries, however, these political differences have spawned a number of varying practices and positions which have come to carry a spiritual significance.

    The division between Shia and Sunni dates back to the death of the Prophet Muhammad, and the question of who was to take over the leadership of the Muslim nation. Sunni Muslims agree with the position taken by many of the Prophet's companions, that the new leader should be elected from among those capable of the job. This is what was done, and the Prophet Muhammad's close friend and advisor, Abu Bakr, became the first Caliph of the Islamic nation. The word "Sunni" in Arabic comes from a word meaning "one who follows the traditions of the Prophet."

    On the other hand, some Muslims share the belief that leadership should have stayed within the Prophet's own family, among those specifically appointed by him, or among Imams appointed by God Himself.

    The Shia Muslims believe that following the Prophet Muhammad's death, leadership should have passed directly to his cousin/son-in-law, Ali. Throughout history, Shia Muslims have not recognized the authority of elected Muslim leaders, choosing instead to follow a line of Imams which they believe have been appointed by the Prophet Muhammad or God Himself. The word "Shia" in Arabic means a group or supportive party of people. The commonly-known term is shortened from the historical "Shia-t-Ali," or "the Party of Ali." They are also known as followers of "Ahl-al-Bayt" or "People of the Household" (of the Prophet).

    Shia Muslims believe that the Imam is sinless by nature, and that his authority is infallible as it comes directly from God. Therefore, Shia Muslims often venerate the Imams as saints and perform pilgrimages to their tombs and shrines in the hopes of divine intercession. Sunni Muslims counter that there is no basis in Islam for a hereditary privileged class of spiritual leaders, and certainly no basis for the veneration or intercession of saints. Sunni Muslims contend that leadership of the community is not a birthright, but a trust that is earned and which may be given or taken away by the people themselves.

    Shia Muslims also feel animosity towards some of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad, based on their positions and actions during the early years of discord about leadership in the community. Many of these companions (Abu Bakr, Umar, Aisha, etc.) have narrated traditions about the Prophet's life and spiritual practice. Shia Muslims reject these traditions (hadith) and do not base any of their religious practices on the testimony of these individuals. This naturally gives rise to some differences in religious practice between the two groups. These differences touch all detailed aspects of religious life: prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, etc.

  14. Sunni or Shia, both are Muslim and that is what is more important. Neither sect has the right or need to spread lies about the other.

    In regards to "Not afraid 2 stand alone", I just wanted to say that woshipping Imam Ali is one of the most ridiculous stupidest thing I have ever heard, especially as it is not true. Shia Muslims worship Allah, just as Sunni Muslims do. They do not worship a person. It is also false about 'legalizing' prostitution. That is haram, same as what the Sunni Muslims say. Cursing Prophet Mohammad's companions and wives would be wrong, after all they were Muslims and followed and believed in the Prophet. And No, the Qur'an is not incomplete, Prophet Mohammad completed it before he died. If the Qur'an we have now is a 'false' one, then what religion are we supposed to be following until Imam AlMahdi appears? Ridiculous.

    Not all shia 'beat themselves up w/ their hands/chains/swords". That is in some areas and is like a tradition or culture, and the purpose is for them to try to feel what Imam Hussein went throught when he was in Karbala in Ashura. There are aloooot of Shia that find this wrong, and do not do it at all.

    As for the 'rock' it is only something clean to pray on, something clean to put one's head on during prayer, and it is not always a rock, it can be a kleenex, or a piece of white paper, or sth like that. They are not praying TO the rock either. As I'm sure all Muslims know (Shia or Sunna) one must pray on a clean area, and every part of the body (hands, feet, head, etc) that touches the floor must b on a clean part of the floor.

  15. Simply shia is deviant sect like khwarjis ahmadis sufis etc !

    read this about shias creed which is not Islam for sure

    IMPORTANT : Here Are Some Deviant Sects

    These Sects Have Deviated From Pure Islaam The True Quraan And Sunnah The Real Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah

    The Raafidah(SHIAS): They are the ones who go to the extremes with regard to the members of the household (Ahulul Bait). They declare the Companions that opposed them as being disbelievers or they accuse them of evil (Fisq). They divided into many sects, among which are extremists, who claim that Alee is god, and among which are other than them. Their innovation first appeared during the Khilaafah of Alee Ibn Abee Taalib when Abdullaah Ibn Saba' Said to him:" You are God." Due to this 'Alee commanded that they be set on fire. However, their leader, 'Abdullah Ibn Saba', escaped to another city.

    They hold Various views on the Attributes of Allaah, so among them are those that perform tashbeeh, those who perform ta'teel and those who are in comformity (the the correct view on the Attributes of Allaah). They are called Raafidah because they rejected (rafd) Zayd Ibn 'Alee Ibn Al- Husayn Ibn 'Alee Ibn Abee Taalib, when they asked him about Abu Bakr and 'Umar (Radiya Allahu 'An Huma) and he responded saying "Rahimahullah" for both of them.

    So they rejected him and distanced themselves from him. And they named themselves Shee'ah because of their claim and notion that they are taking sides (tashayu') with Ahlul Bait and they support them and that they are reclaiming their right to Imamate.

    Our Action

    Fataawa of Rasulullah

    There is a specific Hadith about Rafida: "A sect is going to emerge who will be known by a bad connotation. They will be called Rafida. They will come neither on Friday nor in the congregational prayers. They will vilify the first generation (of Ummah). You should neither keep their company nor dine with them, nor have matrimonial relationship with them. If they fall ill do not go to greet them and if they die do not participate in their funeral prayers."

    THUS :

    1.) Shia's because of their (peculiar) beliefs are outside the pale of Islaam and as such Kafir's. Hence Islaamic bonds like :

    2.) Marriage with them ;

    3.) Using their Zabiah (Slaughter) ;

    4.) Saying the funeral prayer of their dead ones ;

    5.) Allowing them to participate in the funeral prayer of Sunni Muslims;

    6.) Making them shares in Qurbani i.e. sacrificial animals on Eid-ul-Adha ;

    7.) Making them witness in the nikah of sunni Muslims ;

    8.) Accepting their monetary contributions for the building of Massjid ------- all these things are not permissable (in Shariah) and should be given up forthwith.

    Anyone who does not do so is outside the pale of Islaam and is similarly a Kaafir like the Shia's.

    "A Ghali is that who attributes to us what we do not say about ourselves a.s. and the other one is a Muqassir who decreases the status of Ahlul Bayth a.s

    Ameer-ul-Momaneen Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib a.s. said

    "I am the purpose of Salat itself, whether at home or when traveling. I am the purpose of Saum, and the sacred anniversaries in the months of the year. I am the Lord of Resurrection and Judgment, the One who can remove the yoke that lies heavy on the people of Muhammad. I am the Gate through which all shall pass who worship God; I am His worshipper, and one created by Him. I am both the witness and the One witnessed to, the possessor of the green canopy, He Whose name is mentioned in the heavens and the earth, Who is the traveling companion of the Messenger of God throughout the heavens, for with Me is the Book and the sacred Arc. I am the One who befriended Seth, the son of Adam, the companion of Moses and Iram, and all metaphors and analogies pertain unto Me. Who indeed is there to compare with Me? For I am the heaven-sent rain that cause each blade of green to grow, the Lord of this nether realm Who brings forth the rains when all have lost their hope in its downpour. I am He Who summon the mighty lightning and cause the ocean to rise and swell, the One who speak to the sun and cause the stunning trumpet to blast forth. I am the refuge of all that have obeyed God, and verily, God is my Lord and there is no other God but He. For falsehood offers illusions, but truth give thee everlasting sovereignty"

    Khutbat-ul-Iftikhar (The Sermon of Glorification)
