I'll start:
'Temperature goes up and down all the time; the earth is cyclical'
That doesn't mean any temperature change in any circumstance at any rate is perfectly ok.
'The sun accounts for the global warming of the past 30 years'
Doesn't even make sense. For one, the stratosphere is cooling; if it was due to the sun it'd be warming. Two, the sun goes through 11 year cycles, but the warming trend has lasted 30 straights years. If it was due to sunspots it'd be rapidly fluctuating every 6 years.
'It hasn't warmed since 1998'
No scientist bases temperature trends off comparisons to arbitrary years. They look at the big picture. Using this paradigm, conversely, one could base the temerature in comparison to either 97 or 99, and both calculations would yield a warming trend. Not very reliable, huh?
I'm running out of room, what are some other common myths?
