I'm traveling through Greece and I want to see some cool stuff. I already have Athens and everything there on my list, any other ideas?

I'm looking for mainly temples, but any Greek architecture will work.

Thanks!

  1. The Temple of Poseidon (a half day trip outside of Athens, in Sounion) , the Temple of Artemis (one of the 7 wonders of the world), the Odeon (Attica)...

  2. The monasteries on Meteora for sure...the Temple of Aphaia, the ruins of the sanctuary of Delphi, and the Heraklion Museum on Crete. Must sees, all. Anywhere in Greece is such a majestic vista. The old world existing side by side with the modern in a way you won't find anywhere else on earth. I envy you your trip......

  3. Crete - much is rebuilt, but probably most intact.

  4. go into little marketplaces and then you really feel like you are ingreece
