I was going to say Jenolan Caves when I clicked on this Q, absolutely breathtaking and if you can stay in the village all you have to do is squint your eyes and your in the past!!!

I'm sure there is much more but i'm an indoors person!!

Jenolan Caves, The Cable Car and Skyline. Just a nice peaceful retreat really.

Take the train down the mountain near the Skyrider its great fun.I havent done it for years but can always remember that feeling going through the cave.(Assume it is still going), and you can get of at the bottom ,great walks and then catch it back up. Jenolan Caves is a great place for a weekend getaway as if you are staying there you can get tickets for the caves which a limited number of people get to see. Enjoy.
