What are some of the nice things I could do for my friend who is celebrating Ramadan day?

Quiz her on the Koran.  Volunteer with her at a local charity event.  Go shopping for the food bank with her.  Pick up litter randomly in a park with her.  Visit old age homes together and play cards and games with the elderly, and listen to their stories.  Visit the mosque and learn about her traditions from her.

Don't gossip with her

Make sure she doesn't break her fast by swallowing something by mistake

Make sure she doesn't swear

Make her food :D

You know Ramadan is a month long fasting and not really a holiday.  The holiday comes at the end.  Be yourself.  This is no different than say Lent for a Catholic.  Would you do anything "special" during that time?  No and the Catholic wouldn't expect you to.  Just be a friend.

Can i just start by saying you sound like a very sincere and caring friend. May everyone have a friend such like you.

I always appreciate my Non-Muslim friends not to eat anything in front of me, that is always the big thing for me anyway. There's nothing worse than having an empty stomach and someone guzzling down a chocolate bar!

You can always encourage her if she starts feeling tired/hungry. Tell her only so long to go.

Remind her of prayer times.
