What are some of the possible weaknesses of very intelligent people?

I know a girl who's very intelligent- winning state prizes in sciences and maths. She's attractive, approachable, and outgoing. No one is perfect but she is so close to being perfect. Even as a guy, I'm already jealous enough, let alone the girls.

  1. The ability to accept that they may be wrong or they can make a mistake. Very intelligent people tend to focus so much on perfectism that they forget that they are only human, and when they are wrong or have made a mistake, they become extremely stressed and depressed at times. Very intelligent people play high roles in the society, therefore, some of their minor mistakes can turn into major mistakes. Also, they lack the ability to let go and are detached towards people who lack intelligence which brings arrogance into many intelligent people.

  2. sometimes overly intelligent people lack street smarts and common sense. my sister is book smart but when it comes to do simple things that require common sense, she lacks it. the issue is that sometimes they're brains might be overactive and they're thinking of something else, in the "logical" sense rather than what the common sense solution would be.

i think that's a main weakness they have.

  3. Poor body image. Too picky. any number of things.  She may want to be the person who can just hang out and not study all the time.  She may be jealous of the girls who can party down and not have to be "on".

  4. Sometimes they can over-stress situations, especially situations that are minor.

  5. that they are gullible and are solitary

  6. the ability to truthfully say i dont know

  7. There is something that you have to she doesn't that she proabably wishes she has......

  8. A very intelligent person may analyze an everyday situation too much and therefore would be unable to enjoy it fully.  Same with a relationship they were in..overanalyzing takes the fun out of everything.

  9. the intellect is nothing but a bit and a bridle, very intelligent people sometimes lack the capacity to feel or live deeply or fearlessly because they are governed by reason.

  10. They cannot be good subordinates

  11. There is no easy way to answer this question, man... Different people are wired in different ways, and that's all there is to it. Whether highly intelligent or extraordinarily stupid, different people think differently. It is arrogance rather than intelligence that prevents one from honestly saying "I don't know" and I know many highly intelligent individuals with high levels of common sense and street smarts. I, for example, have been a member of Mensa since I was 14 and my IQ places me in the top 0.6 percent of the population. I was raised on the streets, due to the fact that my mother was homeless and, and common sense is not a problem for me. I excel at math and science, human behavior/psychology, mechanical engineering, logic and critical thinking. These things are easy for me. Unfortunately, I have great problems with things like languages, spelling (THANK YOU FIREFOX!) grammar and organization.

My BIGGEST problem though, is in communication of my ideas and some of my thoughts to others. I am not an artist, but I wish I was at times... I don't think the way others do. I don't fully understand the way my mind works, or why it works this way, but much of my understanding is intuitive rather than learned. I am seldom proven wrong in my thinking, whether or not I have ever studied or taken classes in a particular subject, but I have a very difficult time articulating what I know or how I know it sometimes. I have a great admiration for artists for their ability to put what they see in their heads, or what they feel on a canvas and share it with the world. I don't see pictures or video in my head, but something more like... For lack of a better word/phrase... Ghosts. Things that I cannot name or describe, but for some reason, I recognize and understand them... My apologies if that doesn't make sense...

I also tend to be impatient with people... As well as I understand them the majority of the time, I cannot comprehend why they limit themselves so much by continuing along the lines of narrow thinking, prejudices, fears etc...

I think my biggest problem, though... Is that I talk too much... So I'm ending this now.
