What are some of the social impacts of green and sustainable practices??

I don't particularly like this subject because I am conservative, but I have to do this for an essay, and I need some help thinking of social impacts....

also know deep down governments DONT WANT you to save money.. it means you dont need to work as much.. if you work less you pay less taxes.

If you want to know the impacts of our current unsustainable practices and the toll it is taking try skimming through "Our Stolen Future" We are slowly killing the planet and ourselves through toxic chemicals. By modifying our practices we can ensure that we have energy to fuel our lifestyles, we cann ensure that we are healthier, the animals around us are healthier. We can slow the spread of some diseases and the extinction of certain animal species. We can ensure that the rainforest isn't depleted to grow soy or corn but of which take a tremendous toll on the environment because of the chemicals and processes used in planting, harvesting, and utitlizing them.
