What are some of the strangest and most anyoing calls you have ever taken/ gone on?

I'm a dispatcher, so all mine are phone calls (though I have been on some interesting ride alongs)

My favorite one as a newbie was a lady that wanted to report damage to her cement lawn goose. No problem, then I asked what her address was, she lived on Gosling Way. I busted up laughing. Once she figured out why I was laughing, she joined in (thankfully)

I once received a phone call asking what state the Grand Canyon was in

I have taken a 9-1-1 call from a pizza delivery driver saying he needed help, when asked what was wrong, he stated he was running late and needed directions for a delivery.

There are many others I cannot mention on here. So, what kind of call have you gone on and how did you hande them?

My sister has been an EMT for 9 years and she has gone on calls in the middle of the night for hemmorhoids, constipation, and even a sliver and I am not joking.

Another one they had to wait for the woman to finish smoking her cigarette before she got in the ambulance and basically she told them she called the ambulance because it was cheaper than a taxi!

Cheaper only if you don't pay the bill.

Did a drug raid and the home owner was not home at the time. When we were back at the station, the owner called (stoned out of his mind) to tell us that we missed 20lbs of marijuana and 2 oz of cocaine which were hidden under his floor.

Needless to say we went back to his house with another warrant and arrested him and seized the remaining narcotics
