I love to travel and I love food, who doesn't?! I've traveled to different places and seen the different foods, and sometimes really odd foods other cultures have, but surprisingly some of them are very tasty. Here are a couple I've encountered;
Balut; a Filipino food which is a partially incubated duck egg, the bones and feathers give a crunchiness to the food.
Ant Eggs; in Mexico, no thanx!
Cow's Udders; in El Salvador, again, no thanx!
Fire Ant Soup; from Laos, a freinds grandmother made some for a a bbq, again, no thanx!
Haggis; from Scotland, it's a sheep's stomach filled with a mixture of the animal's own minced heart, liver, and lungs and then boiled in onions, oatmeal, and Scotch. Surprisingly this was actually pretty good, but then again maybe the Scotch altered my sense of taste.
Vegemite; from Australia, no thanx, tried it once, prefer a tall keg of Foster's beer. It's like a jam, a salty yeast spread, yuck!
Spotted d**k; from England, pudding shaped in a roll, great!
