yup, my 3 yr old is pimping!!! lol

  3. Raffi is AMAZING!

Also the Veggi Tales songs, because there are ALOT of them so it can take awhile to go through all of them.

You can start her on some of the Disney songs; songs from Mulan, Pocahontas, theme songs of Hannah Montana, Zack and Cody etc.

Kids bop is nice because it is songs we (kinda) like but sung by children.

I also make different mix cd's of children appropriate songs. My god-daughter's had everything from veggi-tales to the beach boys to her favorite aerosmith song. (yeah, my fiance listens to that with her. Our dogs listen to Ozzy Osborne.)

One thing I do in my classroom is a CD of classical or instrumental music during low-key times, such as nap, or even just as background music during play time.

And hey, as bad as twinkle-twinkle and the barney song seem right now, you are going to ache for these days is just a few years so enjoy them, have fun, and record them....to show to that icky-boy she brings home at 17...

  4. I like "Kookaburra"

  5. Dora

    elmos world

    itsy bitsy spider

  6. I definitely recommend Dan Zanes, he is great for kids and adults, just google him. Also, I have made a CD of children's music that I sing a lot with my daughter. There are some free songs to get you started on the site, and CD's to buy. Hope this helps www.dreamenglish.com Happy Singing!

  7. Check out Dr. Jean CD's and Hap Palmer.  They tend to lean toward educational.  I also just recently checked out a CD called People in our Neighborhood.  The kids are very much enjoying the songs and they are picking up the words quickly.

Check your local library for children's CD's and song books!

  8. Check out Dr. Jean CD's - they are jivey and so fun to sing.  My 3 year old granddaughter loves them - we play them after preschool class and we both sing and dance or we work and sing together - and we sing all the way home in the car.  Or just invest in some Wee Sing tapes -lots of common childhood songs.  Teach her something from your childhood.  My 88 year old father taught my granddaughter a song about donuts that she asks for over and over - it won't be long until she has it down!  Now that's tradition.

  9. We like 5 little ducks went out to play

  10. "ABC" by the jackson 5... sure, its different, but tis much more interesting. Just play it on a CD until you know it...my little nephew also likes "Chicago" by Sufjan Stevens. I know these are more adult (not obscene, just not preschool) songs, but they have nice chorus'. And kids need to be exposed to real music.
