By name brand or the kind of spirit?

Mine is Scotch. Over ice. Plain and simple. Nothing comes close.

Brand? Many. Ballantines. Glen fiddish single malt. Chivas Regal, old.

All others? they take a back seat.

Bourbon - I love Maker's Mark in a Manhattan, or a more complex whiskey like k**b Creek on the rocks with a dash of bitters. Great for sipping on in the winter, warms your insides.

Gin is great and makes some really refreshing cocktails. I usually drink Tanqueray, it has a nice balance of herbal-ness and dryness. It's great on the rocks with a splash of Rose's lime juice or with a little club soda and a fresh lime.

I enjoy vodka, my favourite of all time is Tito's Handmade Vodka.  Unlike mainstream, like Stoli or Smirnoff, Tito's is made using corn instead of harsher elements, like potato or wheat.  The corn gives it a much much smoother drink and a bit of a sweet finish, well, sweet for a vodka.

That is NOT hard liquor.  Unless you're a 15 year old girl.

Single malt scotch, neat.  Brands: Lagavulin, Glen Garioch, Glenmorangie.  

Tequila.  It's not just for shooting and margaritas.  There are a lot of premium brands with more cropping up every day, all very good for drinking without shooting.  Patron is one of the more popular, and pretty darned good.  There are so many others, and I haven't experimented much with them, that I'm really not going to try to give brand names.

jameson irish whiskey, bush mills, crown royal, jim beam, southern comfort.  another 3 of my other favs are in 1 shot called a "bonsai pipeline": layer wild turkey, midori, and top w/151. light it, put it out by squeezing a lime wedge in.  if you look in the glass from the side, you should see a bonsai tree! scrumptious!  needless to say, dark liquors are my drink!  no hangovers!  enjoy!

southern comfort, bacardi, jack daniels, cheap voda like silver wolf, black velvet, captain morgan are all good choices

I like UV Blue (blue raspberry taste) and Hurricane (Fruit Punch taste).  They are both blue drinks and are very tasty.  UV Blue is stronger.
