  1. It sure tastes good mixed with beer.

    Another use for it is lowering beautiful women's standards.

  3. Pour some on cuts to sanitize them.

    Mix with water and use as a glass cleaner (although vodka is better)

    2 tea bags

    1C boiling water

    1C sugar

    3 1/2 C water

    6oz frozen orange juice

    3oz frozen lemonade

    1/2 C bourbon

    Seep tea bags in boiling water for 2-3 min. Remove tea bags, & stir in sugar till dissolved. Add everything else, freeze & serve.

    1 oz. Triple Sec

    1 oz. Sweet and Sour Mix

    4 oz. Sprite

    Combine over ice in a cocktail glass.

    MR FOOD'S MINT JULEP BALLS

    Makes about 3 dozen

    2 cups crumbled vanilla wafers

    1 cup confectioners' sugar, plus additional for dusting

    2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa

    1 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans

    ¼ cup bourbon (see Note)

    1-½ tablespoons light corn syrup

    ½ teaspoon peppermint extract

    1. In a large bowl, combine the wafer crumbs, 1 cup confectioners' sugar, the cocoa, and nuts until well mixed.

    2. Add the bourbon, corn syrup, and peppermint extract and mix with your hands until the mixture holds together.

    3. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and dust with additional confectioners' sugar. Store in an airtight container until ready to serve.

    Note: Since this contains alcohol, it is a treat only for adults without a sensitivity to alcohol.

  7. RUM OR WHISKEY CAKE

    1 box cake mix (yellow or lemon)

    1 (3 oz.) pkg. instant French vanilla pudding mix

    1 oz. rum or whiskey

    4 eggs

    1 c. milk

    1/2 c. oil

    1 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

    2 tsp. flour

    GLAZE:

    1/4 lb. butter

    3/4 c. sugar

    1/2 c. rum or whiskey

    Combine cake mix, pudding mix with eggs, and rum; beat well. Add milk and oil. Toss nuts in flour; shake off excess and fold into mix. Grease and flour tube pan; fill and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. Watch and test done. Cool in pan while preparing glaze.

    Glaze: Heat butter, sugar, and whiskey or rum until bubbles. Pour over warm cake in pan; let cool for 1 hour. Remove; wrap in foil and may refrigerate for 24 hours.

    WHISKEY COOKIES

    1 lb. butter

    1 c. sugar (1 1/2 if desired)

    1 lb. walnuts, finely ground

    4 c. flour (reg. Gold Medal, etc.)

    3/4 c. whiskey (Southern Comfort, anything but scotch)

    Mix butter and sugar together well. Add flour; mix. Add walnuts. Mix well. Add whiskey; mix.

    Cut dough into three or four parts. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Take a half-handful or less of dough at a time. Roll on floured board into a long rope. Cut into lengths of about 2 inches. Form into a horseshoe.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees until browned, approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Refrigerate. Cover with tin foil.

    WHISKEY SAUCE FOR CAKES

    2 c. sugar

    Pinch of salt

    1 tsp. pure vanilla

    1 c. Jack Daniel's Black Label

    1/2 lb. butter

    Blend sugar and butter and vanilla until mixed completely. Then add whiskey bit by bit, mixing until it is a nice, loose, and creamy sauce. The sugar is supposed to be grainy. Pour over muffins or pound cake.

    BBQ SAUCE

    1 c. peanut or olive oil

    1 c. chopped bell peppers

    1 c. chopped parsley

    3 c. steak sauce

    3 c. chopped onions

    1 c. celery

    2 tbsp. garlic

    3 c. ketchup

    1 c. Southern Comfort whiskey

    Cook onion in oil until yellow; add remaining ingredients. Simmer 30 minutes.
