My 10 year High School Reunion is approaching and the organizers want everyone to submit a photo of themselves/kids/family etc and write a paragraph about what they've been up to for the past 10 years, ok fine.

I had two kids and a third on the way... but we aren't married. Because we have kids etc I feel our relationship is 'deeper' than just saying "my boyfriend" any other suggestions on how I can word it? My oldest isn't his either. Should I just word it like...

I have two daughters, yada yada... George and I have been together for 5 years and are expecting our third the end of november. ???????????????????

  1. Or just for the easy sake...call him your husband.

  2. I would probably refer to him as my "significant other" and don't worry about explaining that your oldest isn't his.

  3. Yeah, you don't need to say anything that even suggests an explanation or apology for not being married. Write it the way you would if there were no such thing as marriage. I like the way you wrote it.

"Never explain--your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway." (Elbert Hubbard)

  4. I would put,  I am in a long term relationship with a guy I am deeply in love with and we have two children and a third on the way.

  5. your significant other

even though its really none of their business
