  1. Well one of the well known areas and easily seen is La Bufa which is situated almost in the center of the city ,there is a tram which takes people from the lower side of the city to the top of a hill that has an old historic Church ,also there are statues of famous personnel from the revolution .From La Bufa you can see in whole the city of Zacatecas. Scenic pictures can be taken from there. Zacatecas also has a mine right near where the Tram is taken , there is a sort of a miniature train that gives people a ride into a mine, there is a charge for the tour pretty Cool, there is also a Disco in there.


  2. The state has touristic cities like: Zacatecas, and Sombrerete. Near Sombrerete is a small town called La Noria, it is small but on July 27 they have a big festival celebrating the saint "San Pantaleon". There are other places like Jerez, and places like Sierra de Organos, Sierra de Cardos, Altavista. Arriba fresnillo.

    Zacatecas: The colonial center of this city is a UNESCO World Heritage site and features elaborately decorated buildings, cobblestoned streets, and wrought-iron lanterns.

    Sombrerete: Colonial city established in 1555 as a village, actually is a small city, is the fifth most important in the state, and considered the second most beautiful city in the state. The city features old and beautiful churches built in the New Spain Era, decorated and old buildings. The municipality had touristic forests, and Sierra de Organos, famous place in the world for filmed western movies.

    Jerez de Garcia Salinas: A city near the capital city of Zacatecas (Zacatecas City), has colonial buildings and the Santuario and Parroquial Churches, made known internationally by Lopez Velarde, a writer born in that city. It also has beautiful colonial buildings some of which are now lighted at night. Jerez was designated as a "Pueblo Mágico" in 2007 because of its customs, traditions, cuisine and its people. More than 20 years in the past (1988) it had already been designated as a National Monument.
