  1. The Raven on Baseline is a good non desert course

Ocotillo has 27 holes and lots of water

Las Sendas is very challenging Trent Jones course

Sheraton at Wild Horse Pass has two good desert courses.

All of the Troon courses are great but pricey

Wigwam Resort has two good courses and one average course.

Less expensive couses are - Vistal, The Duke, Foothills, Club West and Superstition Springs

  3. I live on Las Sendas golf course, and it is very challenging from the tips, but also very expensive.  If you have a little slimmer budget, the best course, BY FAR, for a decent golfer is the Kartsen course at ASU.  There are no even lies on this course, the greens are small but forgiving, and the course can play very easy or very challenging depending on wind conditions and which tee you prefer.  I would definitely check that one out.

    P.S. GO DEVILS!

  4. You are moving to one of the golf meccas in the US. The very first course I ever played was at South Mountain Park.

You will have a wide range of golf courses to choose from.

I show about 25 different courses in Phoenix alone.

  5. Try the Phoenician and Camel Back courses.  The best in the area is Troon North.  It's one of the courses that they say every golfer should play at least once in their lifetime.
