  1. jewelry is always an excellent choice.  you can dye them in food coloring for a funner project.  Also glueing them to construction paper to help with a drawing.  have them count them out and write the number next to them.

  2. go to  www.famileyfun.go.com

  3. Do a noodle mosaic.  Have the kids make a pattern on cardboard with noodles.  You can also paint them.  Or make a necklace with the ones that have holes.  You can also put them in a sensory table along with shovels and buckets from a sandbox and have the kids play in them.

  4. try these websites

    www.preschooleducation.com

    www.kinderart.com

    www.preschoolexpress.com

    I hope these help

  5. You can make jewelry like necklaces and bracelets with the ones with holes.

You can glue the others to paper or cardboard to make a picture.

You could also try gluing them to material to make accessories like headbands, bracelets (use sturdy material like leather), etc.

You can also try gluing the noodles to themselves to build something - don't know whether this will work but you can try it.

  6. Just set them out for "free art".  You may wish to color some by placing them in a bag and adding a wee bit of rubbing alcohol and food coloring.  The longer you let them sit in the mixture the darker the color.  Dry completely.

Provide cardboard and have them paint it a solid color.  Then provide yarn and have them glue it into a design on their cardboard.  Then provide the various noodles and have them glue them into the "sections" that the yarn design created.

Lacing of course...add a little thinking to it and place both types (holes and no holes) in the same container.  What will they do?

Some noodles make great prints if you put them with playdough.  I've seen some interesting creatures come out of playdough and noodles as well.

I'm assuming you have already put this in the sensory table?

You can also use them for fine motor activities...add tweezers and muffin tins and allow them to sort or place the correct number into the tins.

You can make a "rainbow".  Color the different types of noodles different colors.  It looks neat to have each type of noodle the same color so that when they make they do their color arc...the noodles are the same.

Glue to make their first letter of their name...or numbers or shapes, etc.

    Have fun!
