What are some problems resulting from the overpopulation of india?

I need to know the problems that too many people in such a small area can cause..are the problems that occur severe?

Majority of the problems you see around you are due to overpopulation.. another worst part of it is there will be only a increasing population and it never decreases..

A lot.. in fact majority of problems are due to high population.

- Governance is dificult

- Law enforcement is difficult

- Providing good infrastructure to all is hard - there are a lot of places in India where water is not available all day, they get it just for an hour a day and the main task of the day is filling big barrels to last for the day. Electricy is available 24*7 in big cities , in small places there are power cuts for 2 hrs a day, 4-6 hrs a day.. cos there is no means of generating the huge amount required.

- Health issues -epidemics, illnesses that can be transmitted through air/water cause havoc since areas of dense population

- India has a lot less cars than many other countries, but due to the dense population in metros the polution is also high there.

Actually speaking there are not big and much problems due to overpopulation in INDIA as is attributed generally.

Basically after getting independence it was envisaged that by implementation of various 5 year plans the county's development and in turn peoples' development will bridge the gap but only due to CORRUPTION DEEPLY ROUTED in total system of the country,  the infrastructural benefits like education, housing, poverty eradication, supply of water, electricity, communication, road development etc. are not reaching the beneficiaries and 90% of the budgeted expenditure is mis-appropriated. So main problems in india are basically not due to overpopulation but due to Corruption and believe it or not india is on the top of corrupt countries of the world.
