What are some pros and cons of wire tapping?

I was just wondering. What are some good things taht are taken out of wire tapping, and what are the bad? Just list a bunch .

if it is done legally, then sure it should be allowed. Lots of intelligence gathering goes on via wire taps.

And a lot of laughs for the frame guys (central office employees) when they find a good line to listen to while sitting around the shop.

Are you talking about illegally listening in on other people's phone conversations? If so, than a con would be that if you do it you might end up as...a con!

If you try wire tapping on you own it is a felony and you will go to jail.
