If you are asked to be a juror they have to ask you some questions, like if its a child molestation, they ask if you have a child or something...They do this to make sure that you could still fairly quickly get the trial and punishment over with. Right? What are some questions you've been asked- and for what type of case?

  1. Have you or any member of your family experienced a similar crime"

Do you believe a child could lie about an experience?

Do you know anyone working in law enforcement?  (I mentioned 4 cops, a couple judges, and I had the District Attorney's sister-in-law as a student--they booted me)

Have you any beliefs, religious or otherwise, that might make you reluctant to make a judgement or vote for punishment?

  2. Not if you have a child.

Locally they present the general issue:

Example: this case involves a car accident with injury.

Does anyone have reason to be prejudiced about car accidents, due to family members or self being treated unfairly in a accident case?

    Please state why.

They will decide if they feel you can sit impartial on a jury.

  3. in a first degree murder trial that could result in a death sentence they will ask you if you believe in the death penalty    btw the questioning of jurors is called voir dire
