What are some "Tricks" to Centering LCD/Plasma to off center wall studs?

I've got a 50" Plasma that I'm gonna be mounting in a Home Theater that I'm in the process of building. I'm currently running all wiring inn the wall where I plan to mount the TV and have noticed that the studs in the previously finished wall are 24" apart. I bought a Mount that allowed for lateral movement in the event of off center studs. But this Lateral movement only constitutes 2" at the most, and I'm gonna need approximately another 4" or so, to have the TV at the center of the wall. Any suggestions/techniques that can be used to achive the centered look I'm going for? Thanks.

  1. buy a bigger mount, or use toggle (butterfly) bolts.
