My friend and I are road-tripping to Chicago from Cleveland, Ohio and it's our first time in that city. What are some things in Chicago that are not to be missed? We are on somewhat of a budget, but I'm not necessarily going to rule out anything pricey.

Thanks for the help!

  1. Navy Pier, Botanic Gardens, some of the museums are great, Sears Tower, downtown is precious, Millenium Park, China Town, etc

  2. One of my favorite activities in Chicago is the skyline boat-tour on the Chicago River. It's amazing!

You should check out the Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, the lake front, Sears Tower, and the museums. (The Museum of Science and Industry is my favorite.)

  3. Gino's East Pizza

    The Water Tower Place

    John Hancock Observatory

  4. I would definitely go to the beach on Lake Michigan if you are going soon because the weather will still be nice. There is a decent spot you can go near the campus for Northwestern. Also, if you are interested in great architecture, look at the buildings at the University of Chicago. Furthermore, there are many cultural areas in the city that you can explore, ranging from Arabic areas to Jewish Areas to areas focused on different parts of Africa. Each area has a lot of different unique restaurants.
