  1. Badlands and dinosaur exhibits at Drumheller

    Banff to Jasper Hiway

  2. If you're outdoorsy, Banff is really really pretty. Hiking in the Yoho national park is the best.

  3. By far the biggest attraction in Calgary, and one of the best things to do in Alberta, if you get the chance, is the Calgary Stampede.

This is the country’s largest rodeo that draws in a huge crowd every year. Along with the rodeo, an amusement park is set up as well as concerts, races, and other fun events.

This usually happened in July, so save up and plan to go during the summer months.

If nightlife is more your thing, the mall has a Vegas-style casino and a live dinner theatre as well. It’s a must see if you’re visiting Alberta’s capital.

  4. Banff and Jasper are nice. Edmonton isn't that nice but the mall is great. Calgary is also a nice place to go.

If you have the chance, you should go across to BC, for like a day and see whats around there (aka...Victoria, Vancouver, Okanogan)

  5. Must -Sees in Alberta (in no particular order)

    1. Banff National Park (hiking, hot springs, skiing, sweet little shops) If touristy stuff isn't for you, and your not big on the mountains, then you might as well skip Banff

    2. Jasper. Pretty much the same appeal as Banff.

    3. Calgary. Personally, I don't really see what' so great about Calgary, but lots of people really like it. They do have one of the nicest zoos in Canada (Calgary Zoo, you have to go if your an animal lover, or even if your not) and they also have Canada Olympic Park and fairly good shopping. It's also pretty close to Banff (about an hour away).

4.Edmonton. A really pretty city. During the summer, they have like, a billion different festivals (the Fringe, a taste of Edmonton, Capital Ex). West Edmonton Mall is also very cool, with sea lions, a water park (go down the Sky Screamer) Galaxy land (the amusement park) and something like 800 different stores.

    5. The lakes. If you want small-town, go to an Alberta lake during the summer. Who doesn't love lakes and cabins?

Alberta also has tons of other awesome places, those are just the main ones. Have fun in Alberta
