  1. First critical thing is alignment.  If you are not aimed correctly the shot will not go where you want, so be sure to be aligned properly.  Keeping the left arm almost straight throughout the backswing is really important, and then leading your downswing by turning your left hip (right handed golfer) first will help you to swing from the inside and not come over the top.

  2. If you are a slicer, focus on inside out down swing path.

If you are a hooker, focus on proper timing of your hand release and wrist rotation.

If you are neither of them, keep in mind that 3 bad shots and 1 great shot could make a par.

    somebody said that.

Just focus on one thing all through the round. If you think about your swing more than one thing before or during your swing, It will mess up your score.

  3. Nothing.  Swing thoughts during actual "play" will ruin your swing.

Leave the swing thoughts on the practice range.

  4. You must not think about swinging!
