Question:

What are some "realistic" signs of meth use?

Meth mouth and seeing green elves likely comes after the person has been using for years. What are some more realistic signs of regular meth use? Is mood swings, dark circles, and fatigue a combination someone on meth would be likely to have? Or is a person on meth always hyper and energetic, regardless of the amount used? And are there some people who can handle their meth use in small amounts without arousing suspicion?

  1. People who use meth also become extremely paranoid. They become  hyper sexual, don't eat or sleep, and often take things apart without every putting it back together.

Then when all this is over

They sleep for a very long time.

  2. When someone is high (which occurs for a few hours using meth) they alert, physically active, talk fast. There is often stereotyped, repeatative movements like hand wringing or picking at things. If it occurs at night the person won't sleep.

The post-meth crash is characterized by poor energy, poor motivation, excessive sleep and excessive appetite.

  3. And are there some people who can handle their meth use in small amounts without arousing suspicion? Yes

Look for mood swings (extreme highs and lows)

    Unfinished and unrealistic "projects"

    Cleaning frenzy.

  4. Chicken heads are:  jumpy, talk alot, frequently irrational,

run their hands through their hair almost complusively and

the dead give away are pick marks.  Pick marks are sore

places where they scratch.  The reason for pick marks is

meth makes it feel like something is crawling on you.  They all

have a "smell".  It is the smell of fatigue... due to the fact that

    while tweaking they don't sleep.
