What are some really good bike brands?

Question

I'm looking for a bike in the 100-200 $ zone. My parents want to get either a cheap youth bike or an adult bike, depending on the amount of money. Any suggestions?

Also, Is it good to buy a bike from Canadian Tire and is Supercycle a good brand?

well that depends on what type of bike. A racing bike? A show off bike? Or a BMX bike? i have a low-rider to show off and a mongoose to freestyle and risk falling a braking a bone. I'll sell you my low low just hit me up its preaty tight but lil rusted!

SPECIALIZED!!!  also Cannondale, Trek, and Gary fisher(for mountain bike) Oh sorry i just saw your spending amount but you could still get a quality used bike for your range and still have a much better bike than a cheap new $100 to $200 bike. Go online and shop before buying a department store bike they are awefull in quality. GOOD LUCK and enjoy.

There are so many different bike brands and many good ones. You may have to go a little higher in price, or find a shop that sells used. But near your price range I recommend:

Jamis

Kona (especailly Kona)

Marin

Surly

good value for your buck. Find a shop that sells these and test ride.
