  1. The Twilight Series.

    Harry Potter

    the Uglies Series

    (:

  2. Of mice and men, My Antonia, and anything by Barbara Kingsolver becuase she is simply amazing!

  3. She's Come Undone - Wally Lamb

Jodi Picoult has a collection of great books too.

  4. You're into everything?  Very few people are into everything.

I think I'm into a wide variety of things, but I'm not into everything.

I read Fiction & Nonfiction, Classics, Horror, Mystery and Suspense, Biographies, books on various religions, as well as humor.

I enjoyed several books by Stephen King, including the Stand and Salems Lot.  Dean Koontz Odd Thomas series are excellent, as well as many of his other books.  James Patterson is a good author, though after a while his books all seemed the same to me.  I'm a big fan of Dan Brown, although he's only written four books.  Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series is also very good.

I agree with others that the Harry Potter books were very well written, and I liked the Dark Materials series by Pullman.

One poster suggested Paulo Coelho -- I did enjoy "The Alchemist."

One of my favorite recent reads was "The Red Tent," a historical fiction novel about the life of a woman in the times of Genesis.

In young adults, historical fiction, "Wolf by the Ears" is very good.

For classic fiction, The Maltese Falcon is the ultimate crime novel, Edgar Allen Poe is classic horror,

I love Shakepeare's plays, especially Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet.  I'm currently reading Uncle Tom's Cabin, which is quite moving.

I found Don Quixote to be amusing, if long.

For political humor, I love Al Franken's books, in particular Lies and the Lying Liars who tell them.

Nobody does humor like George Carlin though, and I recommend all his books, but ONLY if you're not easily offended.

If you like a more down-to-earth, family-friendly style of humor, Erma Bombeck's books are great!

My favorite recent biography was John Adams by David McCullough.

The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagals was a facinating study of the works rejected from the Bible, but "Secrets of Judas" was an easier read.

"The Inescapable Love of God" by Thomas Talbott was an excellent book on Universalist Christianity.

But even I'm not into everything.  I admit, I can't recommend a single book about basketball, because I'm not into those.  ;-)

  5. The painted bird, of mice and men, Sidhartha

  6. I love books that aren't predictable. Wuthering Heights is my favorite in that category. The characters are just so detestable. It's amazing!

I also love the Red Tent. Definitely not a chick book, yet it deals with chick things. Haha. Great book.

Another books that is totally unpredictable but I hate is The Unbearable Lightness of Being. I just can't get into that book but it is definitely not a chick book and is rated really high by lots of people.

On a lighter note, I love Marley and Me! Dog books are adorable.

  7. The Alison Rules - Clark

    Before I Die - Downham

The A-List (series) - Zoey Dean

    All of sarah Dessens books

    Saving Zoe - Alison Noel*

    All Fantastic!

Sarah Dessens books are very good, but you may find them girly. The A-list series is basically about rich teens in Beverly Hills and Saving Zoe, Before I Die and The Alison rules are sad but I love them!

*These are just a few of my favourites!

  8. books of paulo coelho..he's a very talented writer. here's a link to his site.. http://www.santjordi-asociados.com/title...

enjoy reading.. (for sure you'll love it)

  9. winged creatures best book ever. its pretty complicated : its about how gunshot victims and witnesses deal with there lives. its really deep and realistic it was great. takes a while to get used to the writing style.

also the movie is coming out later on this year and the preview looks great. its rated R because of somethings that go on in the book. check out the preview. if you like it then read the book.

    I deffinatly recommend it.
