  1. My favourite restaurant is Toshi's!

  2. I have lived in Vancouver since 1996 and have dined out probably 2 to 3 times a week, so I have been to a lot of restaurants around town.  But rather than to bombard you with multiple suggestions, I will share with you only one name.  This is the restaurant I take my wife to when I am in "the dog house".  The restaurant is Le Crocodile.  Address is 100-909 Burrard St. (on Smythe).

It is not cheap, but it is worthy the price.

I wish you long life and good eating!

  3. It is really tough since there are only two cities in Canada can claim to satisfy almost anybody with a choice and abundance of excellent restaurants: Vancouver & Montreal.

The list below is just a downtown sample and all restaurants on this list are fantastic:

  4. For Italian:

Romano's Macaroni Grill has a very ambient and warm atmosphere with great food. They serve large portions and it's affordable too! Not too cheap and not too expensive. Most items hovering around the $10-$17 range. With some more expensive being in the low $20s.

    It is located at:

    1523 Davie Street

    Vancouver, BC V6G 3A2

    Another Italian restaurant:

It's not in downtown but it's a great restaurant with great food!! Often there are people lining up out the front door to get in!! The portions they serve are HUGE! And at a reasonable price too. If you finish eating your whole plate of pasta or whatever you ordered, you get a small prize.

    Located at-

    4260 East Hastings St., Burnaby

    For Japanese:

Shabusen is a MUST. It's an all you can eat restaurant. Lunch is around $13, and dinner is $23. You have a 2 hour time limit though. So eat as much as you can! It's also got Korean BBQ. The service is very fast :). But be sure to make a reservation as tables fill up fast!!
