Trade either your labour or your expertise in a field you're talented or trained in. If you're an exceptional typist, put your name in with staffing agencies and a legal transcription firm in your city. If you're fluent in more than one language, you can hang out your shingle as a translator. Web and graphic design are popular choices, as is bookkeeping for small businesses, or makeup artist for weddings and such.

Florists and events coordinators need extra hands sometimes to assemble centrepieces and favours, and they might be willing to send you the components to assemble when they have a do-or-die rush before a big event.

There are a couple actually.  What is your experience?  What are your qualificiations?  What do you know how to do?  I'm going to refer you to an article on home based jobs.  If you think you can qualify for the positions on hand, then apply for them.  Apply the same way you would any other job, follow up with them etc.  They work the same way as traditional jobs.
