What are some really great books you have read?

I'm looking for books that really move you like when you read them, they almost bring tears to your eyes but other ones would be much appreciated too.

  3. Try Ken Follet's The Pillars of the Earth. Excellent book... Occurs around 1143 and the years following...Has all elements; Love, adventure, etc.

  4. The Outsiders, The Host, and Bridge to Terabithia

  5. 'Year of Wonders' by Geraldine Brooks.  

    It's a fictional novel based on the true story of a village in Eyam, England which quarantined itself during the plague epidemic of 1665.  It's an excellent novel & well worth reading.

  11. Well I'm going to say Twilight, because I'm a massive promoter of the book ;) You should read it :)

    I think that a book that will move you though is Brida by Paulo Coelho. It's about finding your destiny through magic, and the Traditions of the Sun and Moon. I was lost in the pages, I found it quite fascinating.

    I've also heard that The Alchemist by the same author is amazing, and is also about destiny. I have purchased it, but have yet to read it.
