By far the fastest way to start a business is online. The benefits are numerous. Including not needing a merchant account. Which requires a *full* credit and background check by your local bank.

A good start-up could be something along the lines of CURB PAINTER.  You would need to buy or make stencils for the numbers and buy black and white paint.  Once you got going, you could expand into personalized curb numbers with sports team logos and such.

You can make the patterns out of flexible floor tile.  Carry around a book showcasing some examples, and they will pretty much sell themselves if a house does not already have them.
