You're right. Names like Jaden, Aiden, and Caiden are being used so frequently these days because people think they're unique, when really, their kid will go to school and have to be i.e. Aiden B. or Caiden G.

I like Reagan, Layne, Riagan (pronounced Ree-gan). Names like that. My first boy will be named Reagan and Cobain as his middle name, being that my partner and I both love Nirvana.

Also, spelling can make a common name unique. My boyfriend's name is Loegan, and hardly anyone spells it like that. I like it.

I like the name "Casmir".  It was fairly rare when I was young (several decades ago), and now you never see it at all.  It used to get shortened to Casey, which is unfortunate, considering its rather exalted meaning, which is 'of the light' (from memory).
