  1. Cost. Insurance costs a lot more if you have a teenager in the house with a license. Hey Genius, you can walk, ride a bike or take the bus. Do you need a car to walk around the block? I didn't think so!

  2. If you do something stupid while hauling down the road with a car full of friends and end up killing someone your dad would be held responsible.

Maybe he feels that right now you are not responsible enough to have your license?  Do you have a job?  Gas and car insurance cost money.

Edit:  How about you use your Chevro-legs.  HA!  I couldn't help myself.

  3. Beacause they are worried that they are gonna get injured.

  4. scared that they will make a mistake, not be as responsible and end up in a horrible car accident and dead....that is my biggest fear!

  5. Take the bus, catch a ride, walk or bike.

May be they don't want to have to pay for a car, gas and insurance. If you got a job you could help out and pay for some it yourself.

  6. The bus, walk etc

As for reasons main reason  is that  insurance is much higher on teens and they may not be abel to afford it
