What are some reasons a person becomes a bush pilot?

Instead of applying to legitimate airline services (i.e. charter pilot, hauling [legit] cargo, etc.), why would someone choose to serve remote areas inaccessible by other means?

  1. Its a lifestyle, the adrenaline and the sight seeing, also you dont have a schedule


  2. 1) Love of the wild - to look beyond the beaten path

    2) Does not like line flying

    3) No suitable offers/openings in the other fields

    4) Likes adventure and Independence

    5) Serve areas where others do not like to venture

    6) Less subservient job - not very stringent regulations

    7) Not too many bosses/regulators on your head

    & could be lots more reasons

  5. Just a guess but maybe it's the love of flying over "driving the bus" , you know what I mean? many airline pilots prefer to fly the little ones for enjoyment.

  6. i chose to because it was my business and made me money. like these easy questions.

  7. not only is it a thrill, but airline training is very expensive well over $100,000, plus money is not everything to some, bush pilots don't have to deal with nagging people, they're by themselves
