  1. I would think that he is being kind to a shy person.  He doesn't want to put the shy person in the highlight.

If the quiet persons wants to participate they should be more aggressive in class.

The quiet person could request an interview (outside of class) with the professor and ask him why he is ignoring her/him.  The professor may not even know he is do it.

  2. He may think he is helping you out, because of your phobia. You can overcome the phobia and really ought to try, because it causes lots of problems. I have, and mine were fairly severe.

  3. He secretly loves you, but finds it wrong because you two are of very different ages.

He's feeling guilty and does not wish to look at you, so he ignores.

  4. he is smitten, for sure

  5. Relax and just do your work, I'm sure it's not has much a matter as you feel it is.

  6. professors aren't suppose to ignore students. 'Cause what's the point in teaching if the teacher himself don't care about the students. But thinking for reasons why they ignore students:

    1. The teacher is probably stressed.

    2. He/She is probably feeling anxious about something.

    3. Don't have good social skills.

    4. Annoying students.

    5. Thinks his/her students will ignore him/her too or not taken seriously if he/she tries to communicate.

    6. Depressed.

    7.Got some serious problem.

    8. Don't have enough drive to entertain his/her students.

    9. He/She is concentrating on something.

    10. Busy

  7. both answers above, also it could be that he finds you enoying and wants to evoid that, or maybe if you two had a stupid argument about something, maybe more than once, for example i have a classmate that is always bickering about someting and my teacher tried to discuss things with her but she never wants to settle, she always feels disadvantaged by something, but she also does not follow the rules so then how does she have the right to make demands ? so now my teacher is sort of ignoring her so that another fight does not start .

  8. they ask too many questions that the prof doesn't know the answer to so they are put on the spot and have to make some BS up

  9. Perhaps the student is too pushy or self opinionated.
