What are some reasons behind going to war with Iraq?

I don't want ANYONE who is opposed to the war to answer, please. I already have enough of that side, and I need people to answer my question for a research paper I'm nearly finished with. I need details.

We would like to tell you it was because of "Oil" but we believe it was because Saddam Husein and his son's were murdering uncontrolled tyrants bent on taking over the oil fields and sending chaos throughout the world.

WOMD'S  were used on the Kurds even if was gas it was chemical and there probably still buried out in the desert somewhere.

Don't forget the thousands of bodies dug up in mass graves

did we not learn from Hitler what this type of dictatorship could lead to.

We think if you look alittle deeper you will know what is right to put in your paper the history of Iraq is long it was the cradle of civilazation so how did it become what it was and is trying to change to what it can be again.

I believe some private military contractors(mercenaries) went over and got killed in the middle of the street and they were badly mutilating there bodies(after we invaded though) and hanging them from a bridge(civilians too). We then sent over more troops to make it save and bam we declared war. We search all countries surrounding Afghanastan and so on. We then started operation Iraqi Freedom.

No valid reasons, just a personal revenge unleashed by the Bush family!   This was disguised by presenting a fabricated plan to prepare which Bush sought the help of Blair (former premier of Britain).  Together, they prepared a dossier which was presented to the Security Council by the former Secretary of State.

The reasons mentioned in the dossier include -

- allegedly possessing weapons of mass destruction

- allegedly promoting terrorism

- alleged link between Iraq and Osama Bin Laden

- internal affairs requiring external attention

- exploitation of the people

i think people are in iraq right now because they need to establish a government before they leave. they are also there because they are buying oil and gasoline from them. i think its a personal problem bush has with iraq. 9-11 was created by him so he could have a reason to blow the c**p out of them.
