  1. As I've said before this old adage rings true."Believe non of what you hear and half of what you see"Check things out for yourself.People are pretty unreliable it's our nature.Play that game where you whisper something in a persons ear. Then they whisper it to the next person.Do it with 8-10 people and see what happens.

  2. Because the person in question is crazy

Because the person in question is on drugs or alcohol

Because you don't subscribe to believing in ghosts

Because you don't believe in little green men

Because you think it's not possible

The best reason is because you can.

  3. When I sence that they're lying... or drunk.

  4. Corpses in Jonestown that were "Open minded".

Corpses Rancho Santa Fe that listened to talk about becoming "a level above human".

Deceived and cheated cult members the world over.

Suckers that bought into Von Daniken's BS.

Suckers that have their memories peed on by frauds like Sylvia Browne, John Edward, or James Van Pragh.

  5. because you think if you believe them it makes you a psycho/crazy person, when it doesnt.

  6. Because they're after money.

    Because they're after fame.

Because they've had too much to drink.

Because they've had too much to smoke.

Because they've had too much intravenously.

Because they're just stupid (not their fault).

Because they're just naive (maybe their fault).

Because they've been dreaming and thought it was real.

Because it's the only way they can get attention.

Because its sexier to say you've seen a UFO than to say you've seen something in the sky and not known what it was.

Because its sexier to say you've moved something telekinetically than to say something was moved by a gust of wind.

Because its sexier to call it a ghost rather than dirt on the camera lens.

    Because.....

.....well, anyway, that's enough to be going on with.  There are lots more.

    .

  7. You do not see what they see.

  8. As an investigator, I go into a case and I listen to the client and the claims of activity.  Then using a variety of cameras, recorders and yep physical feeling I begin to investigate the claims.  Someone who is contact you for help is usually the first to say... i know youre going to think I'm crazy, but.... Then I go on to explain that I talk to enities that will talk to me so do you really think I think you're crazy.

After 10 years on the investigative side, you can spot a faker.  They are pretty much like a liar, they can't keep the tales staight.  People who think they have a haunting and actually do not are different because they truly think they have a problem.  But every problem is not paranormal.  For a variety of reasons natural things are happening to them and it has driven them to that conclusion.  That is why it is important for objective people to investigate and arrive at an honest opinion.

unfortunately there are too many people out there who waste valuable resources and time of good not for profit groups for the sake of thrill seeking.  Its kinda like a bad faked ghost photo...you just know.

  9. who needs reason?

  10. most people will not talk openly about their "paranormal experiences". They think that people will think they are crazy or they usually just stop thinking about it since their minds can't comprehend it. People will only talk about their paranormal experiences if they feel comfortable about it. Its like hiding an embarrassing secret. Only the people that are in the public eye are not to be trusted about their so called paranormal experiences. For example, Silvia Brown. If someone close to you tells you they saw a ghost, will you believe them?

  11. The best answer is to trust your gut. 90% of the time your gut is rite.Watch th eyes and body language.

  12. I dont think the majority of people are lying when they talk about their personal paranormal experiences. They might be experiencing something natural, but they honestly believe its paranormal.

I generally believe when someone says something that they have experienced something they don't understand.

However, if someone is trying to make money from you, or somehow profit from your belief in thier story, then you might want to look critically at the story.

There are pretty much two reason people fake paranormal events. Money and attention.

John Edwards and Sylvia Brownes intentions are clearly money. Attention is harder to spot, but you should look for plot holes in the story, or things that dont add up. These are a good indicator of someone looking for attention.

  13. Kris,

I do investigations, and sometimes it can take months of interviewing the same people to get you to start talking to you and telling you the truth.

whether paranormal or something else, the people often tell you what they think you will accept.   You have to take a face value what is being said.

this is going to get deep, so please take it one bit at a time and make sure you understand what i'm trying to tell you.

first, you need to accept what is said at face value.  It can be a lie, deception or who knows, but they might think it is the truth and if you dismiss it, you are losing a key bit of evidence.

If a man tells you his dog talks to him, find out why. If his dog is speaking english, in his mind, it might be talking english. In his reality, it is real....on the other hand he might be feeding you a lie a mile wide..   but err on the side of listening...

let me give you a fast example,  a woman at a store told me once that she saw a ufo. I asked her about the experience and she told me she had a dog that would bite her kids, but she kept him chained during the day and loose at night.   Her kids went to screaming in the back yard and she grabbed a broom and ran out to save her kids from the dog.

the kids were on the ground pointing up, and the dog was in under the house still on its chain,   but above the kids was an object that made no sound, but was clearly visible,   she does not know exactly what happened, but it rapidly left.

did it happen, ?  I don't know, but it has the ring of truth, she went out expecting to see the dog hurting her kids but they were scare of a UFO.

you need to look into the background of the person making the statement, the statement as a whole, and listen, record if you can. You need to go to the sight and look at it. Often liars will get details wrong.

you will also find that details have core structures.  those will not change. they may add to them, but the core does not change.

    it comes with experience

    I wish you well

  14. It all depends, were the three children at Fatima lying? Were they mentally unstable? What is your definition of paranormal anyway? Divine revelation, or a bunch of cosmic idiots that managed to navigate interstellar space only to crash in the New Mexico desert?

  15. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Just because someone says something happened or they think something happened doesn't mean it is true. Eyewitnesses are extraordinarily unreliable. People are very good at convincing themselves that they saw something or experienced something and can construct realistic "false memories" in their own minds.

And of course there are people who want to claim paranormal powers for financial gain or for fame.

  16. there are lot of excuses, but not "reasons" to believe- ,a thing does not  cease to be true because it is not accepted

    by you or by others-
