  1. NOT A SINGLE ONE .

  2. because "rural people" tend to be able to take care of themselves better than those living in the city. meaning: lesser dependence on government assistance and programs. while this is a gross oversimplification and contains argumentative errors, it serves as a basic response.

    a country boy will survive.

  3. cuntry folk like it all  D or R

  4. Because we do not welcome government involvement in our lives.

  5. I'm with Timmay as I fit the mold.  While I have only lived in a rural setting for a year, I find that I fit in much better out here than I did in the city. Maybe it's because we conservatives (and libertarians) just want to be left alone.

  6. Rural people see things differently than urbanites.  They worry about the weather a lot and since they can't do much about the weather, they pray, pray for rain, pray for no frost after planting, pray for no rain during harvest.  Their lives are far quieter than unban lives.  What seems natural to urbanites, seems chaotic to rural folk.  Their orientation, these days, fits the Republican glove.  But, it wasn't always that way.

  7. Republican for the perceived conservative base

Democrat for a general perceived working class or liberal base.

( I never understand this, as what is called liberal, when it is actually examined tends to be what our constitution promises...equal rights under the law.)

  8. you are likely to find more old-fashioned people with conservative values and therefore the republican party fits more in their mold.

secondly, more advocates for Second Amendment gun rights and more guns can be found in rural setting and republicans are far more likely than democrats to oppose gun control.

thirdly, republicans generally favor lower taxes than democrats do, including taxes on agriculture.

lastly, they are, almost without exception, opposed to abortion rights and republicans are more likely than democrats to share the same belief.

  9. I don't think it should matter whether you live in rural community or city's. The reasons you choose should be the same for each location. i.e-pay,health care, cost of living etc.

  10. Democrats want to steal my guns and my money, so I vote Republican

  11. Because i live out in the middle of nowhere and I hunt and fish thats my way of life. The Dems don't like. for whatever reason.

  12. less government

  13. I agree

  14. Because they don't want to pay higher taxes and they want to lose their freedoms such as the Second Amendment. Those Dems are all for gun control.

  15. Typically, people in rural settings do vote Republican.  Generally, they have traditional, conservative values that they believe are more in line with the republican party than the democratic party.
