  1. Routine! As we get older we tend to try and stick to a daily routine. I know it sounds silly, but think about it. If you have worked, you are used to the 9-5, which means getting up at 7 and going to bed at 10-11. Believe it or not, while we have retired, we still like a routine to the day. For years I live with my Mother in the Country and we came to Town once a week and purchased a full weeks worth of shopping and never ran out of anything. Then we moved to Town and for some reason we now go shopping twice a week and always run out of things? However even if we do not need any food on Tuesday we still have to go shopping, why I do not know, except routine. So once you are set into a routine, trying to change it is a uphill battle. My Mother was told 20 years ago that she needed to walk and the excuse being out in the Country she has no pavements. Moved to Town where we have pavement and I am still waiting for her to get out and walk, been waiting almost ten years now and I have a Dog that I walk, but Mother has never walked! Once you get into a routine, you get stuck. Best of Luck
