  1. 1 of the BIGGEST reasons we homeschool. Im sorry, but I hate the thought of making my child wear those uniforms because the schools says IT SO MUCH better? For who is it better, them, how about what the child feels.

When we started to homeschool, I swore to my son, that those d**n uniforms are for the birds now.

Fun thing about homeschooling, is if we want to homeschool in our pjs we can!

A child should be able to pick & chose what they want to wear.

My son is allowed to even dress as he likes every day. We shouldnt be able to take that away. Its not up to us to say what they can & cant like! thats taking away their identity!

  2. We should abolish them as some people that cannot afford them and it takes away the children's sense of originality compared to when they show off their own style.Sometimes, the uniforms might be ridiculously long or with green spots all over or even so thin that it could be seen through.Anyway, the children like to alter their uniforms to their liking so whats the point?

  3. Id say they should be kept but here goes

    Stifling of expression

The expense of buying a school uniform and seperate clothes to wear out

The logistics of changing everything around for no good reason

Don't forget a concession to the opposition, a quick argument for the other side you rebute

  4. cheaper! if a student buys his/her own clothes then they are not spending the schools money and then the school would be able to afford things right? also i don't know if your school does this but if not...eeew. anyways  at the end of the school year they would save time and money by not having to wash the uniforms.

    hope i helped.

  5. I support uniforms, but to argue against them I would consider:

Not wearing uniforms allows kids to express themselves creatively and that can help children grow... by trying different styles and fashions, and being complimented or made fun of is all part of growing up and that is a learning process.

Forcing kids to wear school uniforms is a military mentality that all kids are equal and the same, when they are not.  Pre-teens and teens, especially, should have the opportunity to explore who they are based on the different types of fashion out there.

    Hope that helps.

    Good luck on your speech!
