I'm 28. When I was 6 or 7, before my mother had my sister she had a miscarriage. I've asked her why but she says she doesn't know.

What are some reasons as to why women have miscarriages?

  1. There are so many reasons.  (I'm sorry about your mom, by the way...)  The most common is chromosomal abnormalities; something just isn't right with the chromosomal make up and the body miscarries to avoid serious problems with the baby later.  But there are others, such as the woman not producing enough progesterone naturally to sustain a pregnancy, certain levels of hormones that are not as high as they should be, etc, etc.  Genetic abnormalities is another...

So many reasons, and it much more common than many people know.  Hope I've helped a little...

  2. use of drugs/drinking/falling/female problems/tubal pregnancy/something wrong with baby/wasn't meant to be

just some of them lol i dont know them all

  3. the main reason is when the egg and sperm come together it usually doesn't form right and if the pregnancy carried on there would be some huge problems with the baby

  4. One reason is there is something wrong with the baby.

  5. One thing that can cause a miscarriage is some kind of chromosomal abnormality in the fetus.  Many women have one miscarriage and then never have one ever again, so most miscarriages are usually caused by an abnormality of some sort in the fetus.  Other things that can cause miscarriages are poly-cystic ovarian syndrome and other like problems with the uterus that can affect not only the ability to carry a child but also fertility in general.  Main point is that miscarriages can be caused by a myriad of things.  And it appears that your mother doesn't have any problem bearing children :-) so it was probably something wrong with the fetus.  Its kind of nature's way of not putting the baby through pain in life after its born.

  6. when i was 3 my mom had a miscarriage and she thinks it was cause the babyhad somthing wrong with it mayby that was it

  7. honestly most of the time you will never know the real reason...

most of the time it is a chromosome annomally that causes a miscarriage, if you think that a baby is formed from only 2 cells and how complex it becomes...well there is a lot of room for something to go wrong, and most of the time if something goes wrong then the baby does not survive, and is miscarried.

there are also sooo amny other factors that can involve either the mother or the father....

there can be blood clotting factors that increase the risk of miscarriage, or if your body doesn't produce enough of certin hormones...

the list goes on.....and sadly we just don't know everything!

I have had 2 miscarriages myself and I am a healthy 25 year old (was 24  when I had both miscarriages) I have no answers...

my last baby I saw the HB on ultrasound twice...the last time was 2 days before it stoped...it was heartbreaking and I don't know why it happened...

I am happy to say that I am pregnant right now and I am 23 weeks along!.....

  8. stress can be a reason, doing something you shouldn't be doing could be a reason, sometimes your body just isn't ready at that time to carry a baby or sometimes they just happen and your not sure why maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
