What are some reputable acting schools in LA?

I've done some research, but I've still yet find a reputable acting school in LA. I've heard Ivana Chubbuck Studios is very good, but they're pretty expensive ($275 a month). Thoughts?

Ivana is good (and popular) but sometimes there's a waiting list.  Couldn't hurt to get on it if she still has that issue.  I'd definitely go if she has an opening.  She does allow audits at least the last I knew :-) so couldn't hurt to check out a free class.

There are tons of good legit classes in LA and many allow auditing a class.  Check out several and see where you feel is the right fit for you.  I highly suggest making a list of questions, things that are important to you in a class and things in general that you want to know about the studio, taechers, etc.  Where the teachers got their education, training, experience, how long they've been there, where they taught before, what class you would be placed in, any up front fees (many studios have tacked on "joining" or "new member" fees etc.)  Ask when fees/tuition are due, whatever you want to know!  Make a place for name of the studio and the name of the person you spoke to.  Then make several copies and start calling.  When you're done you can compare them and see which places you want to audit.  

Also, just because a place turned out a name actor or two doesn't make it any better than another place.  Some places lay claim to someone famous even though that person may have attended several years ago before they found the coach who actually brought them to the level they're at now.  Some (like JRP) have been sued for using a star's name who may never have even attended so be careful.  Use your instincts, not their fancy claims.

Like anything else I would still check with the BBB and ripoffreport.com and any message boards you can find.  Web searches can be very informative :-)
